On Tuesday, April 7, 2015, Skyville Live will present a legendary night of music featuring live performances from music icon and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Kris Kristofferson, seven time Grammy-winning trio Lady Antebellum and award-winning acclaimed singer/songwriter Jason Isbell. The show will be streamed exclusively online via SkyvilleLive.com at 8:00p ET/7:00p CT.
In addition to performing some of their biggest hits, artists will also honor Kristofferson by performing some of the most memorable songs in the living legend's remarkable career. As always, the evening promises to hold plenty of spectacular moments on stage with the collaboration of these incredibly talented artists.
Few artists in any genre of music have penned such timeless and classic hits as Kris Kristofferson. His songwriting talents have set the bar high with hits such as "Me and Bobby McGee," "For the Good Times," "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down," "Help Me Make It Through the Night," and many others. He has paved the way for contemporary artists to follow, making him one of the most loved and respected artists of his generation. Kristofferson's 28th album, Feeling Mortal was released in 2013, and he was recently honored with a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award and the PEN Song Lyrics of Literary Excellence Award.
"We're quick to embrace opportunities like Skyville Live," said Lady A's Dave Haywood. "Helping kickstart a new and unique event, especially alongside an idol like Kristofferson, is a really great way for us to reach our fans across the world. Hopefully it'll give us a chance to make a few new ones too!"
ACM "Vocal Group of the Year" nominee Lady Antebellum recently released their fifth studio album, 747, which has already spawned the Platinum certified multi-week chart-topping smash hit "Bartender," and its new single "Freestyle" is quickly climbing the charts. The new album follows over 11 million albums sold worldwide, nine trips to No. one on the country radio charts, six Platinum singles and "Vocal Group of the Year" honors from both the CMA and ACMs three years in a row. The group just kicked off their headlining WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR with a European trek and will begin the North American leg on May 1 in Lubbock, TX.
In recent years, Jason Isbell has become a name to remember in music. His fourth album, Southeastern, was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2013. The album fueled Isbell's clean sweep of the 2014 Americana Music Awards, taking home Album of the Year, as well as Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for his hit "Cover Me Up." Isbell is currently in the midst of working in the studio on his follow-up project slated for release later in the year, while embarking on a highly successful tour that has him all over the country.
