Nashville, TN – Nov. 9, 2012 – Although winter storms and airport closures kept the group from traveling to New York City to accept in person last night, GRAMMY winning country trio Lady Antebellum received Billboard’s Breakthrough Award at the 2012 Billboard Touring Awards for their headlining Own The Night 2012 World Tour.

From their sold out Own The Night 2012 World Tour date last night in Columbia, MD, country music trio Lady Antebellum won the Billboard Music Award for Top Country Artist beating out heavyweights Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and the Zac Brown Band for the title.
 

A big congratulations to Lady A on their third album, Own The Night, topping the Billboard 200 chart at NUMBER ONE! This is Lady A's second number one album on Billboard's 200 chart and they are only the third country group to have achieved such success. Lady A thanks all of their amazing fans and biggest supporters, and shares this incredible success with them all!

"Just A Kiss," the lead single off the trio's upcoming album, Own The Night, has taken the number one spot on the Billboard Country Singles Chart and has also earned Platinum certification. "Just A Kiss" also holds its third week at number one on the Billboard Canada country chart.
