Three Time CMA "Vocal Group of the Year" Kicks Off The Own The Night Tour 2011 Tonight


Nashville, TN – Nov. 11, 2011 – After a record breaking debut, GRAMMY winning trio Lady Antebellum’s third disc OWN THE NIGHT has been certified PLATINUM by the RIAA for sales of one million units just four weeks after its release. The group has now sold a career total of seven million albums worldwide and Wed. night claimed its third consecutive CMA "Vocal Group of the Year" trophy.

Last night at the 2011 CMA Awards, Lady A received the award for Vocal Group of the Year. This is the third year in a row that Lady A has been honored with this award and they could not be more grateful. Right after they received their award they came backstage to record a short video to thank their fans. Now it's time for their Own The Night Tour and they can not wait to be out on the road!

This year at the 45th annual CMA Music Awards, Lady A will be one of the live acts scheduled to perform. Along with the reigning Vocal Group of the Year, Miranda Lambert and The Band Perry will also be performing during the awards show. Lady A has won six previous CMA Awards and is nominated for Vocal Group of the Year again this year.

During this morning's nominations announcement, Lady A received the Vocal Group of the Year nomination for this year's 45th annual CMA Awards. Make sure to watch the awards ceremony live on November 9th at 8:00pm ET.
