BIG NEWS Lady A'ers! Over the fourth of July weekend, our lovely Hillary Scott was engaged to her boyfriend, Chris Tyrell. We are so happy for the beautiful couple.
Hillary says, "Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed. Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!”
Congratulations to Hillary for taking home the SESAC 'Song of the Year' award for Lady Antebellum's hit song, "Need You Now" at the 15th Annual SESAC New York Music Awards. After spending 5 consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard country songs chart, "Need You Now" has been certified triple Platinum. The song also dominated pop radio stations across the country landing at Number 1 in multiple formats and claiming the Number 1 spot on iTunes' singles chart in all genres.
