Hello World,
My name is Lindsay Silver; I’m your average 20 something lady, raised in Alaska and Tennessee, currently living in Texas away from my family. I’m working full time as an admin assistant to support my dog, and my love of hockey.
Awhile back Kenny Chesney was on Oprah talking about his family back home in Knoxville Tennessee where I lived and my family currently resides. I started thinking about my own family and friends. They’ve always been there for me and encouraged me to sing, even helped me hold a carwash to raise enough money to pay for studio time.
Singing is who I am and in that moment of reflection, I had to admit to myself, I wasn’t living up to my fullest potential.
I’ve tried different ways to be discovered in the country music world. I auditioned for American Idol twice as well as America’s Got Talent. Unfortunately, neither of those worked out.
It’s emotionally draining to spend 13 long hours witnessing thousands of people being told no and watching them walk away utterly devastated.
I’ve known many people who have tried, failed, and given up. A person can’t be blamed for wanting to give up on their dreams of being a performer after an experience like that.
I know that my friends and family believe in me and I believe in myself, so I will not give up.
I have a list of things I want to accomplish in life. One is to fly a plane. However, I have a huge fear of flying. A more realistic dream is to sing a song with my absolute favorite band, Lady Antebellum. I am drawn to their raw talent, inspirational lyrics, chemistry, and fun personalities.
Lady Antebellum will be coming to Dallas Texas June 12. I purchased a domain called SingWithLadyA.com and created a Facebook fan page called “Lindsay Silver Singing With Lady Antebellum”. I also created a Youtube channel with videos of me singing and videos that give a glimpse of who I am.
I would be grateful if you could watch the videos, pass along the link to friends, publish on your facebook/twitter, post on any forums you belong to, vote, rate, comment, watch, smile, and hopefully be inspired.
If I generate enough views I may be able to catch the attention of Lady Antebellum and then maybe, just maybe…
