London Show - My day/evening

« Back to Community Feed

The morning of the 11th August, i woke up all excited in preparation for the show and meet and greet. Just as i was about to leave the house i discovered that i could not find the picture i bought to get signed. Screaming and swearing i tore the house apart and eventually found it in the very first place i looked but just did not look properly.

I left at 2pm and it only takes two hours max to get to London from where i live but i panicked. I had read stories of people missing the meet and greets.

Arrived at 4. Meet and greet passes not ready but a queue was forming. I was hungry so we went to eat rather than queue.

6.30pm, meet and greet queue formed and were all excited. I like that the meet and greet passes were fabric stickers rather than wristbands which always make me itch.

Was great to see al the different Country artists t shirts people were wearing and for a while i felt like i was back in Nashville.

Ready for the meet and greet we all queued down some stairs and out came Lady A. They were all so stunning in person. Hilary is so tiny and Charles is so tall and Dave was just so lovely looking. When it came to my turn i panicked as usual, gave a quick handshake. Blurted out how i loved them in Nashville CMA fest, got my pioc signed posed for a photo. someone had their eyes closed so was asked to take photo again which i though was nice. I wish i had said more like you do but hey ho. I was shy and scared and used to being rushed, but this was chilled but i rushed myself because i thought i had to.

My partner had secured a good spot as was all standing and we were on a balcany type thing. Perfect view, no heads in way which is good as i am short.

As predicted because i saw them at CMA, they kicked off with STARS TONIGHT which just got us all going and i was happy. I sang throughout the concert. The set list was amazing and no one was left disapointed. Hilary cried she was so happy with the reception the UK gave them.

The night was mixed with old and new fans and had a good country atmosphere which was good. A lot of concerts are hard with people pushing or talking or acting stupid, but everyone was there for same reason and new this was a special night.

Lady A promised to come back and i really hope they do.

A saw a lot of people wait outside the venue after but am not sure if they had any success or not.

In all the panic i forgot to take my camera but nevernimd. I did get to meet them and see them live up close and the memories will always stay.

Thank you Lady A for a great night and for being so nice during the meet and greet. I hope i get to relive the experience one day.

I know how you feel about

I know how you feel about meeting them...I totally turn into a moron every time I meet them. I plan out all kinds of things to say and then when I see them I go blank. Hate that!

Sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing!
