BUT i wonder how "Need You Now" got on "regular" radio here in New York...how come "Run To You" wasn't good enough...i think it would have done great! And I love NYN, it's just who decides what can go on stations other than the country stations...and I really hate when they will only play one song of theirs...if everyone is talking, like they are, about Need You Now...they will like American Honey, Run to You, etc.

the song wasn't originally meant to go to pop or AC but some stations picked it up and started spinning and that's why it crossed over. It's usually someone in the label that decides, I think the marketing director I believe, not 100% sure on that.
