Lady Antebellum made a third trip to the No. one spot on Billboard’s Top 200 chart this week with their sophomore album Need You Now, totaling four weeks at the summit since its release two months ago.  The PLATINUM certified and critically acclaimed album has scanned nearly 1.5 million units to date.

This week, the album’s title track becomes the fastest rising country crossover, topping Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart in only 10 weeks.  “Need You Now” is the second country song in the chart’s history to hit the No. one spot, 10 years after its predecessor. The smash is Mediabase Hot AC’s most spun record ever in a single week and is also the highest ranking single by a country group in the history of Mainstream Top 40 (#3 this week).

As the radio and album sales charts collide, Lady A also finds “Need You Now” at the top of Billboard’s Country Digital Sales chart with nearly 2.8 million downloads to date. And after spending five weeks at No. one on the CMT Top 20 Countdown, it has also reached the No. one position on sister-network VH1’s Top 20 Countdown this week.
