Do you want the theme of your prom to be Own The Night, and dance away with Lady A as your musical guest? Whether its your Junior, Senior, or Reunion prom, Lady A wants to be part of your event this year by performing for your special night!
In fact my children do not even attend Henryville High but I am going to ask them to help their friend that does to create a video for Henryville! I have seen kids that didn't think they cared about school crying at the idea that they don't have school to attend. This week is the state testing my kids are taking their tests while the kids in Henryville want to be able to return to normal to have their school.
Thank you very much. I live in Florida, but knowmany of the families affected by the devastation. Thank God they are all safe, but I pray for those who lost loved ones. Homes can be rebuilt and so can their spirits. That is why I hope Lady Antebellum comes in and helps those kids find the smile they once had. Thank you again for your support and help!!!

I HAVE 2 I WOULD LIKE TO DONATE AS WELL
They did and it is very moving. They need this soooo badly!
I highly recommend that Henryville students be awarded this special event for their school and their homes Friday, March 2 to a devastating tornado.
Give this community something to look forward to.
Those kids definitely need something positive to happen in their lives. If you can see your way to do this for this community who has lost so, so much, it would be truly wonderful
Henryville Indiana is a small town in Southern Indiana. The town has a a population of roughly 3,000. This town has one school for K-12. Last Friday March 2,2012 the school as well as much of the town was destroyed but a tornado. Luckily no students were injured but the school has been destroyed. Questions still remain as to where and how the students of the Henryville school will finish out the school year. School has been called off this week and they are going on week to week basis to determine when they may return to classrooms. The Principal has announces that PROM WILL GO ON. These students need this. They need to know that they are cared about and that they are important. I can not think of a more deserving group of young people or a more deserving community. If Henryville High School is chosen I know that they will be the most appreciative group of individuals ever. I urge you to Google "Henryville Tornado" and just browse through the images that turn up. You will see and understand how important this is!!!! Thank you.
I'm from Joplin, MO and when I heard about this contest, my first thought was for our kids and their prom this year. We too lost our high school, along with several other grade & middle schools.
However, we have been so blessed to have someone step in and give our kids a prom. I vote for Henryville, IN to receive this special night from Lady Antebellum. From a town that has gone through this heartbreak, and seen what it has done to the kids, please help them out!
That is a very nice gesture. We are praying for everyone in Joplin and hope that their kids have a GREAT prom!!! Thank you again.
HI! I live in Southern Indiana about and hour from Henryville, IN. Henryville was recently hit by an EF4 tornado. The school, along with homes and lives were destroyed. The students have not gone to school all week and will have to attend other schools when they go back. I love Lady Antebellum and definitely think Henryville deserves to have a great prom after everything they've been though!

Henryville High/Middle/Elementary was completely destroyed during the tornadoes this week. Give these kids something to hope for.
i do not even go to henryville but i am going to ry to make a video for the contest
Please give the kids in Henryville a prom! My heart is breaking for the families impacted by the tornadoes. A prom for these kids would give them a little piece of normalcy...
My name is Sarah. I taught at Henryville High school. The people of this town are wonderful. The town has been devestated by2 tornadoes. The school was utterly destroyed. Fortunately none of the children were harmed, but many of them lost almost everything. Some of them lost their loved ones and homes and now one of the places the children felt comfortable in. It would be amazing if Lady Antebellum could come and show these terrific kids some love and support! Thank you, Sarah
Henryville is already going to have a memorable year. Why not help it to be memorable for a good reason? These kids have lost so much, and yet they go out and help those around them. I can't imagine a more deserving group of young people than the students of Henryville, IN.
I live in Louisville, KY. I don't know anyone personally or have in family that lived Henryville. The students really need something to help ease the pain that they have been through. My heart aches for them.
Choose Henryville and invite the other H.S. from the other cities that were destroyed in the area from these devistating tornadoes. It looks like a war zone and they need some happiness to look forward to!!
I hope someone is able to get a video together for them! They have lost do much! It is heartbreaking!
I don't have any children who attend Henryville, but we live about 10 miles from this town. The town was devastated and mostly destroyed by a tornado on Friday, March 2. I think if they want you to come, it would bring some hope and happiness to the students who have lost their homes, family and friends and school due to this storm. Thanks for your consideration.
My vote is for Henryville High School. Please, cheer up the kids while they rebuild their lives...
Unfortnately Henryville Indiana has been the number 1 news story across the nation as this small town and surrounding areas were drilled by 2 tornados on March 2, 2012. Henryville being tagged as "ground zero" has be utterly destroyed. The elementary, middle and high schools that had recently gotten a multi-million dollar renovation was nearly completely destroyed. These children in this community now have no school, great uncertainty in not only when classes will resume, but even if they will have a prom this year. Please, choose Henryville High School.
They deserve this so much! They're little town was completely leveled from this horrible storm. A concert and a get together with all of their friends is exactly what they need to lift their spirits. They have my vote!
Thank you for making such a wonderful event available to the schools I'd like to add my vote from Shepherdsville, KY for Prom Night at Henryville High School. I can't do their video for them but the news coverage in the last week should speak for the kids, and how their school was destroyed by the tornado that hit them on Mar 2nd. They want to stay together as a school which will be difficult, at best, if the school system can find a way to do that. I can't imagine any school that's more deserving of such an event this year. What an honor and what better way to lift and restore their spirits following this tragic event! Thank you!
If I knew how to make a You Tube video I would but I really wish that you would award this to the kids at Henryville Junior/Senior High School in Henryville, Indiana. On March 2nd their whole school was demolished and their town was destroyed by a tornado. These kids and their families have lost so much. It would really mean so much to them and their town and brighten up their lives if you were to hold the Prom event for them! Please Please consider Henryville Junior/Senior High School!
I graduated from Henryville in 2010, and will not be attending prom this year, but I'm sure you've heard of the tornados that tore our town apart. Not in heart or spirit, but the structure, including my old high school, Henryville High School, is gone. Our seniors are so upset they can't walk across the same stage the past 100 classes (literally) walked across. They need some hope and support, and having a great prom would really boost their spirits. Everyone in our tight knit community feel the same. Please come give the Henryville High School class of 2012 something to look forward to!!!!
I'm a Kentucky resident blessed to be NOT affected by the recent storms, and I think it would be a shame if Lady Antebellum didn't choose Henryville High School in Henryville, IN for the free prom concert.
I live about an hour away from Henryville and see on the news and hear from friends just how bad it is there! There is no other place better, that I could imagine you doing this for!! And Lady A is awesome for doing this no matter who you pick!!
Go to Henryville Indiana..they lost so much and what a bright light at the end of a long tunnel it would be to have you all preform for them.
I am from Henryville, and 2 of my children go there, they are only in elementary school but I definately vote for the Seniors to get this for their prom!! The princlple is saying that prom will still happen, but as of today we don't even know where our children will be going to school much less knowing what they will do for prom! We have only lived here for 2 years but have Hornet Pride in our little school and little town. I think it has hit our older hornets bc this has been there school for some of their entire lives since it is a K-12 school. This would lift their low spirts and know that good things even happen in the small towns! Thanks for your consideration!! Love Lady A!
The students of Henryville High School really need something to cheer them up after what has just happened. Their school and the entire town of Henryville has been destroyed. I do not live in Henryville, nor did I go to the school, but I live about 10 miles away, and I can't imagine what it is like to go through something like this. Give these students something to look forward to.
I've seen the destruction in Henryville firsthand. These kids have lost everything. Homes, jobs, school, the whole town is destroyed. Please give these kids something good they can remember from their senior year rather than the destruction and mayhem that they have already experienced. Their prom should be the time of their life, and you have the power to make it happen.
Thank you for your consideration.
When the tornados ripped through Indiana my family was safe in our Kentucky basement because we got a warning that Henryville didn't get. Even now as clean up efforts continue the area has gotten snow, more damaging winds, and the threat of more rain on the horizon. The students of Henryville have had to grow up from kids to adults overnight. Their whole town was torn apart.
These young men and women deserve to have the most amazing prom that anyone has ever had. Please everyone join in helping to get Henryville the best prom ever.
Last Friday, an EF-4 tornado hit the town of Henryville, IN and destroyed everything in it's wake--including the school complex housing elementary, junior and high schools. There is little left of the town and the kids don't even know when or where they'll be attending school for quite some time as all of the schools in Henryville were destroyed--all of them. Please, these kids have lost their school, their homes, many have lost their pets, some have lost their families...everything. It would mean the world to them if you would consider going to their prom. Saddest thing is that most all of them have lost their beautiful dresses, etc, and they likely won't be able to afford to replace them, but a local group is trying to help with that. At this point, the kids aren't even sure they'll get to have a prom, but I know our communities in this rural area of Southern Indiana will band together somehow to make a prom of sorts happen--I just have to believe that. Somehow, there will be a way for these kids to have something as simple as a prom--there just has to be. They MUST have some HOPE. Watch the news, you'll see how terrible it is here right now. They need whatever help you can give them, they need you at their prom. They need something to hope for, something to hold onto when everything else in their lives is uncertain. Please just consider them and all they've already lost. What an amazing bright spot you could be in their lives. Thanks for your consideration.
As you've read in these prior messages or seen on TV, Henryville, IN is so very deserving of this special prom after two tornadoes ravaged their entire community, including their school. Without seeing it firsthand you just cannot grasp just how tragic this devastation is. Our little communities are coming together to help pick up the pieces but it is so sad and overwhelming. I live in Sellersburg just down the road a couple minutes from Henryville. There hasn't been a day go by that I haven't cried because of seeing how badly these kids and their families are being tested by the storm. Please make their prom a special event in the midst of so much tragedy!
Henryville High should be your choice of a place to do the prom. These kids lost EVERYTHING including their school when the tornadoes ripped through the area on March 2nd....they have lost their homes, their belongings, their school, but they haven't lost hope. They are selling t-shirts (that have raised national attention) and the communities surrounding are banding together like no other to make sure that they have some sort of normalcy among all the chaos that has ensued. I think this is a wonderful thing you are doing, and I think these kiddos deserve some ray of sunshine...this would make their day and give them something positive to remember amidst the bad memories of what that day brought.
I agree with all the others. These kids need a light at the end of the tunnel. Please help make this a night they will never forget
I hope that someone submits a video for Henryville. Lady A will not have to judge it on creativity, it will be clear why they need to pick Henryville as the winner of this contest. If no one submits a video then I hope that Lady A's publicist or webmaster or someone tells them about all the comments on this page. These children and their families are facing the loss of the school, many of them their homes, their town and the entire life that they knew, I doubt that many of them have the time to make a video. If someone out there would take the news clips and stories of survival and pictures and put it all together for them to meet official rules. I also would suggest not just a meet and greet for two but how about a meet and greet for the entire junior/senior class!! I understand the reason for this contest is to give back to the fans and a community, there is not a better way than with this!!! These kids need this and this community needs this. The clean up will continue for months and longer but the media will forget about them in no time. This is a way to let people there know that people are still thinking of them and still care about them long after the news cameras move on.
Please go to Henryville for their prom. My Children all went to the school, and now my grandkids, on of whom is a senior this year. Please give them something to look forward to, now that their school is completely destroyed.
Thank you
Please don't just consider these kids, BUT CHOOSE THESE KIDS!!!!! They SOOOOO deserve to have a great prom to look forward to!! Many of the families probably don't even know where the money will come from to by their girls dresses and their son's tuxes, but they all know they will somehow have a prom! Go to Henryville and make it an event these kids will NEVER forget!!!
Please go to the Henryville High school Prom!!!!! These kids have lost their school & some have lost their homes!!! They deserve this!!!! thanks!!!!
I spent several days in Henryville Indiana in the days after the tornado devastated the town and the school. To see the destruction first hand is incredible but to see the resilience of the students in helping friends and families cope with losing everything is awesome. These kids are so deserving of this honor and I know it would mean so much to have you all there.
Keep these kids, their families and the hundred of volunteers in your thoughts and prayers.
Please come to cheer up the students in Henryville, IN! Such devastation for so many. I know having Lady A at their prom would mean a room filled of smiles and happiness.
Please pick this school for their prom, such devestation is everywhere and these kids have something to look forward to, graduating and a prom. I don't have a child that goes there, and I live in Kentucky, but please pick them <3
I am so humbled (and crying) reading all the posts already on here about Hernyville (and the word is just now getting out). BUT, I am really humbled driving thru my little town and seeing ALL the volunteers that are giving up their time to come to our community to help with the devastation and rebuilding. Even "our kids" in the community are helping in ways I didn't dream possible. I AM SO PROUD TO CALL MY HENRYVILLE MY HOME PLEASE PLEASE PICK OUR SCHOOL FOR YOUR PROM CONCERT!!
Everyone working on Team Lady A is so excited to see a great community response to the contest, but it must be noted that in order to be entered and considered a video needs to be put together and submitted in the proper form that is listed above to be elligible. Looking forward to seeing the videos come through!
Positive thoughts and love for all of those affected by the tornadoes.
Best,
Mia
My hat goes off to Silvercreek HS in Sellersburg, IN. Thanks to you and all the support from around the country Henryville HS will Own the Prom Night!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! This shows the selflessness and kindness still left in this country. Thanks again to Silver Creek HS!!! We love you so much!!!!
I'm sure you guys get all kinds of requests but this one is special. You should go to Henryville High School. The high school was "ground zero" for an EF4 tornado that ripped through the area on March 2nd. My daughters, a few good friends amd myself volunteered just a few days after it hit. You can see the pictures all day long on TV but until you see the devistation for yourself you just can't imagine. This community lost alot that day. It's been said these kids will have a prom regardless but it would be great if you all could be part of their special day. Thanks!
Not a single person on here made any bad comments about other schools, and you have the audacity to say the things you said. You of all people, knowing the struggles of devastation, should be proud of the community of Henryville for coming together to fight for their community. They lost EVERYTHING. Go look at the videos taken and you will see what was lost. I think it is terrible that you would post these comments, and I live in Florida!
Inspirationalminded, you might want to watch what you say - talking about how they are "using" the tornado to "accomplish" something. You are talking about how your area had a flood that killed thousands, so what is it that you are trying to accomplish? You sound like a hypocrit. Sounds to me like you are a little jealous that there are OTHER states and schools rooting for them in the wake of this devastating situation that they have all had to deal with. I am sure that there are alot of communities that have worked so very hard on the submission videos and deserve a night to remember, but there is no reason to bash any of them. These kids all across the midwest have been through alot over the last 2-3 weeks with losing everything around them - not just in Henryville. Until you take part in really working with the kids in this community and seeing them take pride in helping their neighbors and even strangers, you don't have place to talk about them trying to use the tornado to "accomplish" getting Lady A to their prom. Joplin is rooting for Henryville. Harrisburg is rooting for Henryville. Schools I have never even heard of are rooting for Henryville. Know what? Because they deserve one night to remember. They deserve something positive in their life right now. Even though most of them have nothing physically, they still have the pride in their school and in their community. Even if Lady A doesn't come, rest assured they will still have a rocking prom night because that is how we do it up here! We don't back down when we are knocked down. We get up and move forward....and we will be stronger than ever!
What Henryville is trying to accomplish?? Are you serious?? These kids are only trying to accomplish moving forward. These kids have pulled the community through by helping with clean up and door to door delivery of hot food and water.I think that before you judge their intentions, you should come here and see the pride they have for yourself. What video would you prefer to see? The only additional video that could be used is video of them helping find lost loved ones and animals, cleaning up debris, and etc because that is all they can do.They still cannot even attend a temporary school as of yet.But I guess you would think that video was intended to sway the vote as well.Whether they win this contest or not, they have won my vote for High School and Community Pride!
Everyone did a lot of hard work on all of these videos. I hope that you as a wonderful inspiring band will look past what Henryville is trying to accomplish. They are using the fact that they had tornadoes to win. I live in Tennessee and we all had a flood in May that killed thousands.. It left homes for hundreds of miles destroyed. This contest isn't about who can create the biggest sob story. It's about coming together as a community and school to show why they should be apart of it.
What an amazing video!!! It truly captures the sisterhood these young girls share with each other. It brought tears to my eyes and I could feel there passion. way to go troubies! You deserve to win.
More than anyone, the students of Henryville High School deserve to own the night!
I truly hope that you choose to go to Henryville High School. I live in Louisville, Kentucky and have watched these kids come together and stand strong. They stood together so that they were not split up for the rest of the year, they have more pride then I have ever witnessed a school having and they truly deserve this. They have been through so much and deserve a carefree night to enjoy themselves.

Henryville is a full of Hornet pride, even more so in times like this. I truly love this town. Please come play our kids prom. It would mean so much and bring so many smiles to the kids faces. They need you.
Henryville Indiana is a small town in Southern Indiana. The town has a a population of roughly 1,500 hundred people. The town has one school for K-12. Last Friday March 2,2012 the school as well as much of the town was destroyed by an EF4 tornado. Luckily no students were injured but the school has been destroyed. This has been really hard for the kids that attend the school, not knowing at the time where they would be finishing school at or if they even would, if they would have Prom or not even though the Principal has announced that PROM WILL GO ON. These students need this. They need to know that they are cared about and that they are important. I cannot think of a more deserving group of young people or a more deserving community most of the students have been meeting at church’s or other places so they can stay together. If Henryville High School is chosen I know that they will be the most appreciative group of individuals ever. I urge you to Google "Henryville Tornado" and just browse through the images that turn up. You will see and understand how important this is!!!! Thank you. I live less than 3 miles away from Henryville Indiana and about 6 to 7 from Marysville Indiana which was also destroyed by that same tornado, only Henryville was hit by a double vortex tornado.
Please give these kids something to look forward to after all the sadness and loss they have endured in recent days!
Please come to Henryville, Indiana. I stood on the front porch as the MASSIVE EF-4 Tornado swirled past our home. Just 10 Miles north it obliviated the quaint town of Henryville Indiana. My Family was spared this horrible tragedy but close friends lost everything. Some even lost their lives. The school was destroyed. You hold a special place in my list of outstanding Country Artists. Your music, shows, personality, and genuine common good for all humanity. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for both the students and you. Come share your spirit and energy for a small town who's spirit and energy have committed to rebuilding. I watched as people came together giving $10 each to hear bands from all walks of life at Silver Creek High School yesterday. Lady A, they raised over $50,000 in less than 8 hours. People gave money. Will you please come and share your talent? Thank you for reading all the hopes and wishes of a small town school. I know the video is a winner.
I grew up and graduated about 10 miles north of Henryville. While I loved my school and every one in it, I had always admired Henryville High School because they were such a tight-knit prideful community. That school was not only the place they spent 8 hours a day, it was their hang out spot before and after school. Henryville schools were the heart of this small town. Most of the town is gone meaning many of these students lost their homes, pets, and perhaps family and friends. When I went to volunteer at the town, I did not see these kids sitting in mourning, they were out helping their neighbors and their church. They set their emotions aside and did the best they could just to get a sense of normalcy for the people in their town. They had to grow up fast, and stay strong for their families. As I was volunteering, I witnessed two high school students come in and get food, clothing, and blankets for their family. It was heart-breaking, and it isn't fair for anyone.
While this contest requires a video, I hope that you can take into consideration that Henryville has been without power, cell service, and I'm sure many do not their computers and/or cameras. Also these kids have been out from morning until night cleaning up the destruction. They truly deserve to win this contest. Since they found out about Own the Prom Night, it has been their only excitement. Each of these students has played a hero in some way. I can’t fathom what they may be going through, but somehow they’ve managed to stay strong. Many students were in the school when the vortex of tornadoes touched down; please do not let that be their most memorable part of high school. I love Lady Antebellum, but I will admit it would be a privilege for the three of you to meet these students, and play a huge role in helping them recover from such a tragedy. This contest was made for the students at Henryville High. Let these heroes have their chance to “own the night.” Thank you.
I HAVE CRIED SO MUCH FOR THIS COMMUNITY IN THE LAST WEEK. WATCHING ALL THE VIDEOS AND THE NEWS MEDIA COVERAGE. ALL I CAN THINK OF IS THESE PEOPLE AND WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH, AND HOW CAN I HELP BRING A SMILE TO THIER FACES!! THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ANY OF US. IT REALLY HIT CLOSE TO HOME. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO THIS FOR THESE KIDS. THE KIDS HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT IN THE LAST WEEK. SOME HAVE COMPLETELY LOST EVERYTHING!! LIFE AS THEY KNOW IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY TURNED AROUND. THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO GRADUATE FROM THE SCHOOL ITSELF THAT THEY HAVE ATTENDED, MOST OF THEM ALL THEIR LIVES. THAT IN ITSELF I KNOW, IS HARD FOR THESE KIDS. THIS IS A TIGHT KNIT COMMUNITY AND HOW DEVASTATING IT IS FOR THEM TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS. GIVE THESE KIDS SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TOO AND TO REMEMBER FROM THEIR SENIOR YEAR, BESIDES THE HORRIFIC TORNADO THAT TOUCHED THEIR COMMUNITY. THAT IS A MEMORY THAT NO ONE SHOULD HAVE!! LET ALONE FROM THEIR SENIOR YEAR. AS YOU VIEW THE VIDEOS SUBMITTED TO YOU FOR THIS CONTEST, AND READ ALL THE COMMENTS, I HOPE IT IS A NO BRAINER OF WHO WILL BE WINNING THE CONTEST. I DO NOT LIVE IN HENRYVILLE BUT I AM WITHIN A 15 MINUTE DRIVE. I HAVE TAKEN IT UPON MYSELF TO START A COLLECTION OF PROM DRESSES, SHOES, AND ACCESORIES FOR THE GIRLS. SEVERAL GIRLS HAD ALREADY PURCHASED THEIR DRESSES AND CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER NEW ONE. OR, THEY JUST DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PURCHASE ONE BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS ARE OUT SO MUCH DUE TO THIS DEVASTATION. I CANNOT WAIT TO BE IN CONTACT WITH THE GIRLS AND TO SEE THE SMILES ON THEIR FACES WHEN THEY SEE THE BEAUTIFUL DRESSES I HAVE COLLECTED. I PICKED UP 14 DRESSES ALONE, TONIGHT. EVERYONE OF THEM ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME AND DONATE DRESSES, PLEASE FEEL FREE TOO!! IN MY CLOSING THOUGHTS, PLEASE LADY A, LET HENRYVILLE HORNETS "OWN THE NIGHT"!!! THANK YOU....:)

Please pick Henryville IN high school. This high school and town was destroyed in the March tornado. It would be such a boost to the kids who lost their school to have you appear at their prom. The school is being split up to finish their school year and the community is coming together to get them prom clothes, hair stylist, etc. Please consider them as it would mean SO much to the community!!
Thanks
I was fortunate to spend yesterday in Henryville working with one of the volunteer agencies and watched Henryville's video submission when I got home last night. The kids did a great job of expressing in their video what words alone could never do - that hope and heroes exist even in the face of great devastation. It is extremely clear that even the clean-up will take weeks and months, but the school principal has stated that there will be a prom and graduation. If Lady A were to play for Henryville, it would help in so many ways - it will keep the hope going for the kids, keep the hope going for ALL of the surrounding communities and it would help keep the Henryville area in the spotlight so the aid continues - it is so needed. The logistics might be difficult, but they can be overcome. The kids in Henryville and the surrounding area are giving back to their communities each day. Won't you please help?
I AGREE WITH JSWEEKS..GO TO ANY NEWS CHANNEL AND YOU WILL SEE THE VIDEO YOURSELF..THERE IS HELP COMING FROM EVERYWHERE..THESE KIDS MAY NOT HAVE TIME FOR THE VIDEO OR THE RESOURCES..WITH YOU GOING TO HENRYVILLE IT MIGHT PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACES AND GIVE THEM A PROM THEY WILL NEVER FORGET..PEOPLE 100 MILES AWAY WERE FINDING PERSONNEL THINGS THAT BELONGED TO RESIDENCE IN HENRYVILLE, IN..PLEASE PICK HENRYVILLE!!!
I pray Lady A views the touching video of devastation and loss the children from Henryville Jr. Sr. High School/Middle/Elementary School has had to face. The events on March 2, 2012 will forever effect their lives. Many lost their homes, personal belongings, some lost family members and their school is gone. Such a huge amount of sadness to fall upon such a small community. The town looks like a bomb dropped and wiped everything out. This community, this school and the students who attend need something to look forward to and I pray Lady A will be this hope in such a sad time. Henryville wasn't the only town in this area affected by this tragedy but they were probably the only school that was hit not by one but by TWO tornadoes, one of which a F4. PLEASE GIVE THIS GIFT OF HOPE TO THE HENRYVILLE JR/SR CLASS.
Please go to Henryville High School. Those kiddos deserve it more than anybody! Apparently the contest requires a VIDEO but its kinda hard to make a video when you lose everything you own.
As an alumni of Henryviile I am devastated by the damage to my old high school. I watch and see the pain of the current students not knowing what lies ahead in the immediate future. I ask that you help give them one night to forget the pain and be normal kids again . A prom is meant to that one special night of the year and just how special will it be with Lady A on hand to bring smiles to replace the tears.
You need a video??? Go to any news channel website. You'll find video of the devastation and destruction of March 2, 2012. I grew up in southern Indiana and recently relocated to Texas but I know WHO deserves this small bit of normalcy to their world. Thank you.
Lady Antebellum, I would like to recommend Henryville High to own the night. These kids have been through a lot and could use a night with your band to help them forget about things for a little bit and just enjoy being kids.. Please pick Henryville.. Thank you, Jean Willits
Please Pick Henryville, IN High School... These kids are so very humble and extremely DESERVING. I lived in Henryville for more than 5 years and just moved from the area a couple of years ago. My children, now grown, used to compete against Henryville in Marching Band Competitions. The Henryville students were always so caring and giving no matter what the situation was, but NOTHING like this past week!! I have seen TEENAGERS concerned not of their own possessions but the lives of their FRIENDS, THEIR COMMUNITY, THEIR CLASSMATES!! I witnessed first hand these students helping distribute donations, clean up debris, ask others what THEY NEED!! They are TRULY SELFLESS individuals and really DESERVE just ONE NIGHT to help HEAL THEM!! They have given soooo much I would love to see just a little joy given back to them :-)
Please, Henryville High School!
They did and it is very moving. They need this soooo badly!
Please vote for Henryville. These boys and girls deserve that silver lining:) I just watched their submission video and it brought tears to my eyes. So very touching!
I live in Louisville which is about 30 miles south of Henryville and we were lucky to not have been hit with a tornado that day even though they were everywhere else in this line of storms that passed through. My heart goes out to the people in not only Henryville but in maryville, Nabb, Liberty Ky, all of the towns that were affected by the tornados that day. So many lives were lost on that horrible Friday afternoon. Please bring this little town some hope, give them something to look forward too after losing so much and not even knowing when or how to put all the pieces back together.
I also agree that Henryville is the most deserving. As an Indiana High School senior that is in a school suffering from money issues I have a soft spot for others seniors who have the "end of the senior year fun" in jeopardy. I am the Vice President of my student body and we are wanting to hold a fundraiser to help the senior class at Henryville or their Student Council. If someone knows a member of the senior class at Henryville or a member of their Student Council could you have him or her contact me. My e-mail is mlrhinesmith2012@yahoo.com or contact our Student Council at student.government@mvcsc.k12.in.us We would really like to help and show our support for some fellow Hoosier Seniors. I would love any contact information you could give me. Thank you! Good luck Henryville in Owning the Prom Night! Please help them Lady A!
I am not from there, however I spent a good part of my childhood there with my cousins. The town is devestated, they are good, hardworking, strong people and those students don't even have a school, and are only looking forward to their prom. There is no other school or community more deserving of this!
You should pick stet high school! We are located in stet mo. We are closing our doors this year due to lack of funds and enrollment, we have 63 students k-12. We may not have gotten hit by a tornado but we are loosing our school.. Or as we call it our family.. We have so much school pride!! We are small but mighty. :) Stet! Let it stand!! Our junior class is submitting a video! And need all the support we need!!! Please help us out, it would mean the world to us to have lady A play at our last stet prom ever. :)
I HAVE 2 I WOULD LIKE TO DONATE AS WELL
PLEASE GO TO HENRYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. THEY NEED SOME TYPE OF RETURN TO NORMALCY. THE TOWN HAS BEEN FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN. THESE KIDS NEED AND DESERVE THIS!
On March 2, 2012, Henryville, In was hit by a double vortex tornado that not only took out the school...but took out most the homes and some businesses also. Many of these kids not only lost their school...they lost their homes and everything they had. These are great kids! Please, Please find it in your heart to come to their prom? They deserve something as wonderful as you playing at Prom for them. Thank you.
I LOVE you guys especially on Ellen!!!! I really hope the kids in Henryville submitted their video correctly. I would love to see them win this contest! Thanks for even having a contest like this. You guys are awesome!!!!
After seeing the video for Henryville, how could you not choose them? These kids have been through so much and are trying to get back to something normal. What a wonderful way for these teens to be honored than to have them play at their prom. Please, please choose Henryville, Indiana!!!
Many, many years since my own prom, and I am not a Henryville, Indiana alum. I live within 30 miles of this town and have been watching, with horror (of the devastation) and admiration (for the strength and pride of these residents) as stories from the recently tornadoes demolished their town. The High School will have to rebuilt, and I have no idea where they will be going to finish this year. (My heart especially goes out to the senior class!) But, they really, and truly deserve your generosity. While there will, doubtless, be hundreds or thousands of entrants, I hope you will follow your hearts to Henryville, Indiana.
Please choose Henryville High School as the winner of this contest. After all the devastation they experienced, they need something uplifting to happen to them. Especially the kids...........
It would do so much for their spirits to have you choose them!
Henryville Indiana was hit by the devastating tornado that ripped through Indiana last week. Their school was destroyed and the graduating seniors are losing many of their activities that were planned. while I know that you may get many videos and comments, I feel like this community could really use some inspiration, and who better than Lady Antebellum. Could you please choose this school along with their community to help bring some joy to many of those affected by this event that took place last week. I feel like you have alot to offer in your music, your words, and your beliefs. Thank you
No contest. This is a no-brainer. You simply must choose Henryville High.
I vote for Henryville as well!
Please choose henryville. They deserve it and need it. It will definitley lift the spirits of the small community. The devastation is awful and most have lost everything. So PLEASE choose them.
Please come to Henryville, Indiana, and help these kids have the most memorable prom ever! Their school was destroyed from devastating tornadoes one week ago. My kids aren't old enough to be in high school and I don't know any of the kids personally but the story breaks my heart. They are the most deserving and need a little sliver of hope.
Please open your hearts for Henryville, IN. Many have lost everything, their homes, schools, and even loved ones. I believe that this small town in Indiana is very deserving of this! Please lift their hearts and spirits with preforming at their Prom! My prayers are with them.
The kids at Henryville High School in Indiana really deserve this. Last Friday, March 2, 2012, a deadly tornado ripped through this community and the HS was destroyed, these kids have not been able to go to school and will still not for a couple of weeks. These kids need some kind of normallacy, it would be great if you could play at their school for them.
Please find it in your heart to help all the kids of Henryville High. The tornado that touched down has not only demolished their school, but has changed the lives of the kids forever. My heart goes out to all the people of Henryville who are suffering due to this tornado and the aftermath. Lady A, I hope that you can find it in your heart to lift the spirits of these kids and families.
You guys should definitely go to Henryville High school and perform at their prom. They have had such catastrophic events with the tornado's that ripped their town apart, and I think this would help bring the smiles back into the town!!
Please let Henryville HS in Indiana win! They deserve it after all they have been through! The students deserve to have a prom to remember after seeing their town, family and friends..their whole life being torn apart in one day by tornado's. Hope and pray they win. GL Henryville HS :-)
This school deserves a prom to remember. They lost everything on March 2 2012 by a F4 tornado.
I think you guys should go to Henryville Indiana and play for their prom they have been through soo much and this would be an amazing thing for them! And it would also be awesome to maybe have a concert and donate some of the money to all disaster areas around here that was impacted by the F4 Tornado's that would help a lot of people out!!!! PS i love you guys
The town its self is gone. They have lost everything. The kids lost there schools and there homes everything. I live 10 minutes from Henryville. I think & know this would help the seniors get there minds off the trauma they have in-countered. It would give them a chance to celebrate a memorable prom. I would love to see them to be able have you all at there prom.
I believe these high school students deserve it, how said the pain they have endured not even knowing when they will return to school. Please lady A make these students have a wonderful memory of there senior year besides the devastating tornado!!
I vote for henryville junior senior hgh school in henryville,in. They have been through so much. I grew up not that far from henryville and I can't believe it is pretty gone
These kids need this. Their school is gone, their homes are gone, their lives may never be the same. This would bring happiness back into their lives for sure.
Please go to Youtube and watch Henryville, IN - March 2, 2012 Tornado , as a 1999 Graduate, what has happened to our small town is heartbreaking. Lets give the kids a night to take their minds off of the devastation that has taken place and let them have a night to remember! Please vote for Henryville High School
Please go to Henryville High School in Henryville Indiana!!! This tiny town has been completely demolished from an F4 tornado that hit March 2, 2012, the high school was hit badly. Please go there it would mean so much to them!!
They have been through so much that winning LADY A for their prom would be AWESOME!!!
Lady A, please choose Henryville. The devastation they have faced is tremendous, and they are so deserving of this night with you! Please choose Henryville!!
I have lived in Southern Indiana my entire life. I never thought I would ever see such devastation. The kids of Henryville NEED and DESERVE this chance. They have lost all sense of normalcy and it is going to be a very long time before things are close to being back to normal. These kids have lost their friends, families, their homes, and their school. Henryville is a great place and is full of great people. The entire county, plus some, has come together to begin this long rebuilding process. The kids deserve this. Please make this a year to remember for a reason other than the tornadoes!!!
Kimball high school NEEDS YOU NOW to help us OWN THE NIGHT at prom <3 we deserve this for how amazing and spirited students here at John C. Kimball are. We are located in Tracy, CA and have done a lot of community service including Teens for Jeans and we raised over 7,000 jeans for people in need.
Please go to Henryville HS for their prom. These students have gone thru the unbelievable destruction of there school last week due to tornados. They deserve to have some fun at this age. PLease,Please pick Henryville High School!!!
I vote for Henryville Also!!!!
I think Henryville Indiana deserves to have Lady A at their prom this year! They lost their school on March 2, 2012 due to a tornado! I vote for Henryville! :)
Tammea- Do you know who I can contact about donating prom dresses to?? Contact me @ josie@jmoffattphotography.com if you do or know anyone that would. Thanks :)
Come on Lady A. Who could be more deserving? They lost their entire high school. Please choose Henryville, IN HS. They survived the tornado and could use something good in their lives. They have a long way to go to to recover. Some lives were lost. These people need your help. Thank you and have a great day!
I vote Henryville too. These kids have been with this shool for 13 years of their lives. This is where they grew into the young men and women they have become today. They have lost so much including their school and if you look at my facebook page I have comments from many of the senior class kids talking aobut how they want to graduate in their school not somewhere strange. This is true Henryville pride. I couldn't imaging loosing my home and everything I own and then on top of that my school. What were all your teenage year memoies your friends, school, and your town. These kids deserve to have the night of their lives they deserve to OWN THE NIGHT. I lived in henryville my whole life and there are so many memories that are now just memories because the places they happened in were wiped off the map 3/2/2012. All you have to do is check out my Facebook page and you will see the devistation, love, and support that comes from Henryville. Please help our kids and give them something to look forward too. Close your eyes imagine your lives then imagine an F4 tornado coming tearing it all away. Imagine opening your eyes and seeing the outside from the hall you were hunkered down praying to God that if anyting happens to take your soul. Imagine walking out of the rubble, as several of these kids did, dodging live wires, glass, and debris wandering if your parents were alive and how will anyone know where you are or will be going. Imagine standing in a community building with your friends scared out of your mind the reality of the events spinnning out of control in your head like a bad dream. Imagine going home and nothing is there. Imagine very cold temperatures the next two days with snow on the ground and no electric to keep warm. Imagine living somewhere else or staying with friends and family feeling so out of place and not having any control on the situation. Imagine the next day adults telling you that you may have to divide and attend surrounding schools to finish the 2012 school year. Just imagine loosing now your friends you grew up with. I dare not ask what else can they loose. Henryville Jr/Sr. High students deserve to Own the Night because right now they Own nothing else. Support these kids. You can check videos on wave3.com, whas11.com, fox41.com, and wlky32.com. You can see the devistation that took place ripping everything these kids had away from them. Were not asking you for anything but to make sure these kids have a special prom night. after they endured what they did nobody deserves this more.
I have not seen a community more deserving than this one. The storm and tornado went through this small town and broke everything except their spirits. The school (grades k-12)was destroyed. The Seniors at Henryville High School have lost alot and really should OWN THE NIGHT for prom. It will be interesting to see how many videos you recieve from this and the surrounding communities. Come on Lady A see what big hearts these kids have...host their prom. 2012 Henryville Hornets!!!!
Best,
Mia
I am so humbled (and crying) reading all the posts already on here about Hernyville (and the word is just now getting out). BUT, I am really humbled driving thru my little town and seeing ALL the volunteers that are giving up their time to come to our community to help with the devastation and rebuilding. Even "our kids" in the community are helping in ways I didn't dream possible. I AM SO PROUD TO CALL MY HENRYVILLE MY HOME PLEASE PLEASE PICK OUR SCHOOL FOR YOUR PROM CONCERT!!
Please pick this school for their prom, such devestation is everywhere and these kids have something to look forward to, graduating and a prom. I don't have a child that goes there, and I live in Kentucky, but please pick them <3
Please come to cheer up the students in Henryville, IN! Such devastation for so many. I know having Lady A at their prom would mean a room filled of smiles and happiness.
Please go to the Henryville High school Prom!!!!! These kids have lost their school & some have lost their homes!!! They deserve this!!!! thanks!!!!
Please go to Henryville for their prom. My Children all went to the school, and now my grandkids, on of whom is a senior this year. Please give them something to look forward to, now that their school is completely destroyed.
Thank you
I hope that someone submits a video for Henryville.
I agree with all the others. These kids need a light at the end of the tunnel. Please help make this a night they will never forget
Go to Henryville Indiana..they lost so much and what a bright light at the end of a long tunnel it would be to have you all preform for them.
I live about an hour away from Henryville and see on the news and hear from friends just how bad it is there! There is no other place better, that I could imagine you doing this for!! And Lady A is awesome for doing this no matter who you pick!!
I'm a Kentucky resident blessed to be NOT affected by the recent storms, and I think it would be a shame if Lady Antebellum didn't choose Henryville High School in Henryville, IN for the free prom concert.
My vote is for Henryville High School. Please, cheer up the kids while they rebuild their lives...
I vote Henryville, IN
I don't have any children who attend Henryville, but we live about 10 miles from this town. The town was devastated and mostly destroyed by a tornado on Friday, March 2. I think if they want you to come, it would bring some hope and happiness to the students who have lost their homes, family and friends and school due to this storm. Thanks for your consideration.
Choose Henryville and invite the other H.S. from the other cities that were destroyed in the area from these devistating tornadoes. It looks like a war zone and they need some happiness to look forward to!!
I hope someone is able to get a video together for them! They have lost do much! It is heartbreaking!
I live in Louisville, KY. I don't know anyone personally or have in family that lived Henryville. The students really need something to help ease the pain that they have been through. My heart aches for them.
Henryville is already going to have a memorable year. Why not help it to be memorable for a good reason? These kids have lost so much, and yet they go out and help those around them. I can't imagine a more deserving group of young people than the students of Henryville, IN.
Please give the kids in Henryville a prom! My heart is breaking for the families impacted by the tornadoes. A prom for these kids would give them a little piece of normalcy...
i do not even go to henryville but i am going to ry to make a video for the contest
Henryville High/Middle/Elementary was completely destroyed during the tornadoes this week. Give these kids something to hope for.

That is a very nice gesture. We are praying for everyone in Joplin and hope that their kids have a GREAT prom!!! Thank you again.
Thank you.
Those kids definitely need something positive to happen in their lives. If you can see your way to do this for this community who has lost so, so much, it would be truly wonderful
I highly recommend that Henryville students be awarded this special event for their school and their homes Friday, March 2 to a devastating tornado.
Give this community something to look forward to.
Please go to Henryville High School. Those kids have loat family, friends, and most have lost their homes. Their school has been disteoyed and who knows what they will do for their prom. Please!!! It would mean soo much to them. I hope someone submits a video.
