The Concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital

Lady A is honored to headline The Concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco on Thursday, September 20.  Acclaimed Emmy award-winning comedian Dana Carvey opens the show, which is being presented by the Salesforce.com Foundation.  Former U.S. Secretary of State General Colin Powell will present a special Medal of Courage at the event.  MC Hammer and special guests will spin at the after-party.  Lady A is looking forward to a stellar night in San Francisco for a compelling cause!

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital is recognized throughout the world as a leader in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care.  Its expertise covers virtually all pediatric conditions, including cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders, organ transplants and orthopedics, as well as the care of critically ill newborns.  A 180-bed “hospital within a hospital” with 150 specialists in more than 40 areas of medicine, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital has programs designed specifically for young patients, such as a 50-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, recreational therapy for recovering kids, and 60 outreach clinics throughout Northern California.

Currently, UCSF Medical Center is building a 289-bed, integrated hospital complex to serve children, women and cancer patients adjacent to its 43-acre biomedical campus at Mission Bay in San Francisco. The new 183-bed UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital will feature all private rooms for pediatric acute care and intensive care nursery patients.
