The first time I saw Lady A was at Merriweather last year when they opened for Kenny and Miranda. I got to meet them at the sidestage when they signed autographs...so glad I did then, who knew they'd get this big! (well, I did anyway). This is my first time getting tickets to any show as a fan club member...I can't wait!!!
I'm so psyched you're coming to MD again!! I saw you at the carroll cnty fair and knew you were going to be big. My only complaint is how you sell the tickets. I really hate that you don't know where the tickets are until you pick them up. I hate that so much that I didn't use my presale code for the PA tickets I just bought to see you and Tim McGraw. I want to know where I'm sitting. Anyway, just hoping that can change at some point. See you soon!!
Super excited to have you in Maryland! Recently was in Nashville and randoml sang a song on stage,at Tootsies, with a band and felt like a star...you're living my dream! Its been a long time since ive really fell in love with a band for the whole package of personalities and music!! Wishing you all the best in the future....cant wait to c you in Sept!!!! XOXOXOX
I certainly hope there is going to be pre-sale tix!!! I thought they would have had them by now though :/
So I think this is NOT a LA headliner show, I think it is really this..
http://www.wpoc.com/pages/2010_SITC_tease.html?. I mean I guess I will still go but I was hoping for just an LA show and now I am sure it will be harder to get good seats :/ Boo :( I wish they would have listed this on the site a long time ago; it's on the Merriweather site too. Doubt there will be pre-sale tix either... Anyways, here's hoping for a good lineup.
Was my presale code supposed to work for this show? Because it says it's active but the website (granted it's TicketFly not Ticketmaster) is not accepting it as a valid promotion code.
Bummed out.
Thanks for the code, so helpful. And I think you're right, Lady A appears to be the headliner. Very excited.
What kind of seats did you get? Kinda bummed the radio station/station fans had access the same time we did but oh well I guess :(
I went on line to get my pre sale tickets this morning.. thought since i was a fan memeber that these tickets were gonna be special and only offered to us Lady A fan club members. Well come to find out they arent.. it was for the radio station people too.. I am mad as .... Being a fanclub member we were suppose to have special access to special seating. These tickets arent even being sold on ticketmaster.com .
How are pre-sale tickets assigned?
We are given a block of holds specifically for the Lady A Team and no one else. Seats are assigned in the order we receive them, not on a first come, first serve basis at Will Call. By being a Lady A Team member, you have access to some of the best seats in the house.
This didnt happened for this show.. The seats the site try to give me were way in the back... "best seats" in the house- whatever.. I even knew what tickets were being sold to me.. i thought we would know till we got to the concert???
I didn't buy any tickets.. I am spending $150 for 2 tickets for a fan club member with seats way in the back.
I am very up set about this.. I dont feel like a fan club member here at all.
I didnt even get to use my special code i would use on ticketmaster.com
As a listener to the station that put this show together, I'm very happy that the listeners to the station have a fairly equal chance at good seats to this show. Yes, I'm also a Lady A fan, and it would be nice to think that I might have had a chance at supposedly better seats if I had tried to purchase through the fan club, but this show isn't just Lady A. Lady A is headlining the show, and deserves to headline, but the other artists at this show also have fans and many others might have been much more interested in getting great seats to see whomever their favorite artists are. The station (and venue) are doing the best they can to keep things fair for everyone.
And for the record, even those that bought tickets during the radio station presale (like me) weren't guaranteed tickets that are any better than those that don't buy during the presale. Apparently the station/ venue/ promotors reserved a group of seats in various areas of the facility for the presale while still leaving plenty of good seats to try to sell to the general public. If I had somehow missed the news when the station announced it, or if I don't normally listen to that station, I'd like to think I'd still have a chance at decent seats when they go on sale to the general public.
Regardless, I'll be there and will be very happy to catch Lady A and all of the other artists for this show. It should be a fantastic show and is a bargain at the price (an absolute full day of show, with several artists, at a price that many people would pay just to see one act perform).
I was so excited to get the seats I did, I have second row seats!!! I had a presale code with WPOC I think alot of the issues people had with getting bad seats is that this is WPOCs sunday in the country not a normal Lady A concert. Its still going to be amazing so lets all get out there for a great day of country music!
Congrats to you Nicolee88 on the great seats. I think (and hope) that I'm just a few rows behind you... in seats that I was very pleasantly surprised to be able to get. Like you, I had the presale code from the radio station (as it's a station I regularly listen to and have subscribed to their regular e-mails, much like their sister station in the area) and enterred it to get the tickets that I purchased. I'm hoping those up-close seats mean getting some great pics of Lady A and all of the artists that will be at the show and I also hope that as the headliners Lady A gets to put on a nice long set. My daughter and I loved their set at the Southern Voice Tour stop in Bristow, VA, when we were there, but as an opening act for that show the set was (we think) a little shorter than they'd be playing as headliners.
In anycase I hope you (and me and my daughter) and everyone that goes gets to enjoy the show.
WPOC (hosts for the show) just announced that The Band Perry has been added to the show. No idea where they'll fall in the line-up, but it's yet another group to add to the list you'll see at this show.
Congrats to you on your seats! If you have rows with 3 letter such AAA, BBB your on the floor! Im jealous you got to see them with Tim Mcgraw, Im sure they will be doing a long set since it is a headliner, and they will be in the middle of their headlining tour. Im stoked for the Band Perry to be playing there too seriously it'll be an awesome day, Im seeing Gloriana with Phil Vassar on the Friday in OC, MD and Im so excited for all the great music in that weekend!! I wish it was here already!!!
i just wanna say that i seen lady a in pittsburg and i cant wait for this concert im sooooo very excited i know its going to be amazing! the first one was!!
It's almost here, but these next few weeks are going to drag as I wait for the day of the show to get here. :-/
It's going to be a busy weekend for me and my daughter as we head down to see Sugarland on Saturday and then head up to see Lady A the next day. I'm not taking any bets on which show will be better between them as I think they are both great acts.
Hopefully the weather will be great for both shows as both pretty much wrap up the summer in the area and really lead into the fall and cooler weather.
The radio station that is hosting the Lady A show has been advertising that there are still a few seats available, or at least they had been up until the last few days. If there are tickets available there are not very many left so if you are thinking of going and haven't yet gotten your tickets, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? :-}
Seriously, if you have the opportunity, go see this great act and the others that will make up this show. Given how many acts you can catch at one time for this show, it really is a bargain.
Lawn seats (the cheap seats) may be gone or nearly all gone, and pavilion seats may not offer the cheapest prices, but even the most expensive seats for this show really are very reasonably priced when you consider how much entertainment you are going to get for the price you pay. It really is AN ALL DAY EVENT! Get there early and enjoy all of the sets from all of the acts. The Band Perry, Joe Nichols, Eric Church, Matt Kennon ("The Call"), Gloriana, Bucky Covington and Lady Antebellum to finish it all off (not necessarily in that order as I don't know who will start off the show, only that Lady A is headlining and will finish it all off).
Anyone heard if they got a meet and greet yet??
@LAloveinMD i got my email bout the meet and greet this morning. I get to meet them :) yay!!! Good luck i hope u do too!
I am sooo super excited, i have been waiting for this since i saw them open for Tim McGraw earlier this year!
No such luck for me wih the meet and greet :( DENIED :( I've had that darn thing in for months too :( BOO! Oh well, I will still enjoy the show!
Wooo so excited, if anyone is looking for another great show to see Sunfest in Ocean City, MD is hosting Phil Vasssar and Gloriana. Im going to that show too, love gloriana!! Its going to be an amazing weekend of music.
And if anyone needs a partner for the meet and greet I will go hahah
Has everyone heard about meet and greets? It seems like they got sent out, but I didn't get an email one way or another and if I look on my account on here, it still has the request labeled submitted. Anyone else in the same boat?
Confused about that, but excited for the show! It'll be such a great weekend for music. Sugarland & LBT on Saturday and Lady A (and everyone else) on Sunday. Can't wait!
The announcement hit a few days that this show (Sunday in the Country, Columbia, MD, Merriweather Post Pavilion) is SOLD OUT.
The Radio Station that is sponsoring/hosting the show (WPOC FM) has been giving away tickets and may still have a few available if you are lucky enough to win. Out of market fans can try streaming the audio from the station to get a good guess when to try calling in to win some tickets, but be advised there will be some lag on the internet streaming and the opportunities to win the tickets might be gone fairly soon this afternoon.
For me, like the person that mentions the Sunfest show in Ocean City, MD going on today (Friday, 9-24), it's going to be a busy weekend. Bristow, VA (Jiffy Lube Live Pavilion) has the WMZQ Fall Fest going on. I was able to catch Lady A there when they toured with Tim McGraw. The Fall Fest has another great line-up too, so I'll be able to catch about 10 great acts throughout the weekend just by hitting Fall Fest and Sunday in the Country. (No insults/slights intended for some of the lesser known acts that will be on side stages and such. Scheduling commitments may have me missing a few acts while they are on stage since I have to be lined up at proper times to pick up my own tickets and passes for a meet and greet that I was lucky enough to get in on for the Fall Fest show).
On the question of meet and greets for Lady A, my request still shows submitted and nothing else. I'm still hopeful that I might get lucky with that request, but if not I still intend to enjoy the concert. It is going to be a great, great day of music at Merriweather and the weather is supposed to be pretty nice too.
As expected, Lady Antebellum put on a great show. To be fair, all of the acts at the show were great, but of course Lady A was the icing on the cake with an awesome set. Excellent new music, fan favorites, and some great covers that really fired up the crowd.
