Live with my 17yr old daughter in my own home in rural upstate New York in Newark Valley (pop. 1056) I am 5'8" and I weigh 160lbs. Very active and love the outdoors. I am currently going through a divorce which is quite unusual. My wife of 5 years woke up one morning 1-1/2 years ago and did not know who I was or where she was. It got worse from there over the months with her becoming increasingly paranoid. Finally tthe paranoia became so she would not trust me or my daughter and locked my daughter and I out of the house I had bought before we met. When the court forced her to let us back in she left and started divorce proceedings. So now its just my daughter and I and she will be leaving for college in 2011. As my friends say I can't even have a marriage disintigrate the right way.
My goals are not the usual job or money related. I aspire to actually just live on the beach in a warm climate. And in fact in addition to my bed in my "man cave" I have a Myan hammock that I sleep in during the summer, complete with ocean scene on the wall. That is not to say I am afraid to work. I have worked all my life. When young I worked as a bartender and a tractor trailer driver. Went back to college and was recruited by IBM after two years of school. Worked 18 years there in research were I coauthored 3 patents along with another 10 invention disclosures along with numerous publications. I now work at Cornell University in the physics dept.
Never worry about having a lot of money which I don't but I have enough to get by. Figure there are a lot more important things in life like friends, family, and just enjoying what comes along.
